Welcome to the house of FUM now I’ve come of age. Our third tip for the top in this space, Futura Medical, has two key product launches expected in 2012. The first is PET500, a topical anaesthetic spray which is to be sold as an over-the-counter product to treat men who suffer from precipitant/premature ejaculation - rather different “PE” for some readers of Shares Magazine to overcome. The condition, which affects between 20% and 30% of the male population across all ages, means this 'delay spray' product will be marketed as a product which enhances sexual control; it has been licensed to Aussie healthcare giant Ansell (ANN:AX).
However, it is the second product due for launch in 2012, CSD500, which is the key driver for our enthusiasm. It is an erection enhancing condom, which contains glycerol trinitrate (an alternative name for the chemical nitroglycerin!). In clinical trials the product has been proven to help maintain a firmer erection, maximise the size of the natural erection, as well as provide female partners with a longer-lasting sexual experience. The product secured regulatory approval for the EU in mid-2011, and it is expected that sales will begin in the first half of next year. The product will be sold by Reckitt Benckiser (RB.) as part of the Durex range. Futura will receive a 'high-teens' royalty rate on all sales of the product, which is expected to be priced at a 50% to 100% premium to the price of conventional condoms. One suspects this is a product that will appeal to all comers: whether it be pandering to male vanity, the oft-quoted and recent phenomenon of the 'ladette' culture, or simply those with genuine performance issues."

Yep, trouble is that I have a golden rule, which I stick to religiously.....Never invest in Biotech or fledgling medical Co's as their failure rate is far too high to make it worthwhile. This one is obviously the exception atm!
