Occasionally I have the odd mad thought and here is one.........

Could M&S consider taking over Morrisons?

At first sight it appeears pure madness but there are benefits:-

1. Both companies are currently going nowhere......
2. The current M&S leading man came from Morrisons......so the question should be asked!
3. Another few asisle for M&S food would be very useful........Morrisons has a quality range but.......
4. Kiddicare in M&S......Great....
5. The improved....start of internet shopping would boost both.huge potential for click and collect.
6. Morrisons is half M&S share price.....simple stuff 1 M&S hare plus a £1 for 2 Morrisons share would produce a cheap deal.
7. M&S needs more out of town sites and Morrisons have over 500........Mezzanine Floors.........

And...........any thoughts
