MNL was suggested in IC recently as it has most holdings in US Tech and Medicos.... although it's a small fund it should benefit if/when these stocks rise under the "America First" politic.
For me, the benefit is being able to invest in 10-plus dollar stocks, without having issues over the paperwork+costs . . . . has no-one else tried this one?
Their Website is not communicative .. even if you can find it..Try ww.mlcapman.com/manchester-london-investment-trust-plc/
EDIT (22Feb2017) - sp 306
EDIT (30May2017)-sp 348
EDIT (8Nov2017)- sp 439 . . . IC has suggested selling as US "Techs" are wavering. . and Discount to NAV is reduced. Personally, I don't like the "ownership%" but so long as it's run well, this is an easy way to invest in US.... alt is Monk Trust...and Alliancz
EDIT(13Dec2017)-sp up 445p but it's difficult (even from their website, if you find it) to discover the Manchester Trust Portfolio. Anyone?
EDIT (16Feb2018)-claimed NAV is v.close to sp =456p....yield looks like 1% -so Hope is there's Capital Growth.
EDIT (18Feb201)-claimed NAV =494p. that's almost today's sp.
