Vela Technologies plc (formerly Asia Digital Holdings plc) is a UK incorporated investment Company looking to acquire and consolidate holdings in Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME's) which are active in the development of emergent technologies, hi-tech engineering and scientific advances to expedite company growth and expansion. As a result of the recent global financial crisis, and the ongoing period of financial austerity, companies have become increasingly reliant on such advances to improve profitability or efficiency. Early acquisition of such innovative technologies should provide the opportunity to optimise returns for Shareholders.
VELA holds 590,000 common shares in BTL
In addition, Vela holds a total of 25,000 warrants in BTL which are exercisable at a price of C$3.25

Good post, curtesy of ffsapa on the LSE chat.
Hi HM, I use Internaxx (formerly TD Direct) to buy BTL, however I used to have an a/c with HL which Im sure I could trade Canadian stocks - used to be in Africa Oil a long time ago - but sometimes had to use telephone broking. Alternatively I know on Charles Schwab International you can trade BTLLF on the OTC market although with slightly less liquidity and larger spread. Until this morning I was thinking about shifting my position in favour of BTL, however todays announcement has encouraged me to hold what I have. VELA have provided a clear intent of strategy in my opinion, and given that there are very few AIM companies which offer exposure to the booming blockchain/crypto sector I think that in % terms VELA offers the greatest potential for short & medium term explosive growth. Especially when you consider the ridiculously low market cap, currently trading at a discount to portfolio asset values, which are only likely to experience significant growth in the coming days, weeks and months. BTL registered another record close this evening, which is starting to become a daily occurrence - I'd be surprised if they are not tapping on the door of $20 by year end. And what I liked about todays announcement by VELA is that placement purchase was made from available funds - the recent top slicing of the investment in BTL has been used to directly expand ("The Proposed Investment will be funded from Vela's existing cash resources.") and further the company's interest in what is forecast to become a $3 TRILLION industry by 2030. Unlike a lot of AIM sharks who would have trousered the profits as 'ongoing company expenses'. This alone merits faith that the board has shareholders interests as well as their own at heart. How often can you say that on these messageboards? Looking forward to next week, and best of luck to all holders!
