....How the mighty have fallen.... (CPR)

hangon - 26 Mar 2018 17:17

Back in 2010... £6, in 2015 £3 and now 50p [DYOR]. Mind-you their largest shareholder ( a European Hedge fund ).... didn't they do well? Secured a loan for the Co ( possibly their own money, no matter) for 14% commission - yet it was their own investment that had suffered.... and if nothing was done, then one might suspect the sp would tumble further.
The Co welcomes this loan ( Others here: - does this mean it might have to be repaid "on-demand", i.e. making it a greater risk for shareholders ...), they add that the CO will reduce its Retail-Footprint... Meaning? They will close stores.
IMHO and I know nowt... they need to sponsor some TV "Property programmes" where the benefits of carpet are demonstrated . . . safety ( falling onto), Noise ( less for neighbours) as well as feel ( nicer to walk on)..... compared with modern-day sanded wood-panels . . . BUT one wonders if [CPR] also sells alternative flooring, without these benefits . . . PVC covering is fine for the bathroom/toilet and maybe the kitchen too . . . provided there is a foam-rubber backed wool rug to rest yr feet on.
I never held this stock as it was rather "Expensive" and I keep hearing that Sanding a wood-floor is all you need. ( plus a little teak-oil, or varnish....Ugh! ).
EDIT-(14May2018)- I read their Euro investee has just pulled-out to "rebalance their portfolio" - having made a lot on this. That created quite a fall, but at abt. 35p it's all "Hope" that the new Funds raised recently will be used wisely - I suspect not, until they can get our TV Home-buy programmes to like carpets.
They still need to sell the stuff.
