Mill & Cop Htls - What's Occuring?? (MLC)

stockbunny - 13 Aug 2003 13:53

Up 10% this AM, anyone know why as I can't find any news anywhere about the rise.

The share was up on speculation that parent company City Developments may take the company private

Thanks elchicodor! Read late last night a comment that it had been tipped as a recovery stock, nice thought but a way off yet I feel, your explanation seems more likely. S'bunny

you're very welcome :)

are you looking at any other hotels or just M&C? IHG's doing well, probably because out of all hotel groups its the most geared to a travel recovery. Maybe that's too long-term for daytraders, i'm new to the concept..

Elchicodor sorry taken time to respond to your last message. I'm holding M&C only at this stage - gone up really nicely this last week, looking for a further increase before selling out. Day trading's not my bag, tend to hold for slightly longer than that, but we all need to do what works for us best! May dip a toe into Hilton afterwards with their gaming 'arm' could be good. have a great day!! Stockbunny

Millennium (Sao Paolo: TIBR3.SA - news) & Copthorne was a high riser after Morgan Stanley (EUREX: DWDF.EX - news) upgraded the stock to 'overweight' and lifted its target price from 540p to 630p
