FUSION TAKE OVER (FOG)

breydon - 12 Sep 2003 11:31

Sterling Energy in talks take over Fusion oil worth a flutter at .38

djalan - 12 Sep 2003 16:19 - 2 of 6

Sterling have very little chance of taking out FOG
They don't have the money
Why are they wasting our time?

All share buy-out from such a tiddler is a joke

Fusion have a bit down the hole now off Mauritania West Africa

Donny - 14 Sep 2003 17:57 - 3 of 6

Yep, FOG has rejected the bid anyways. Doubt sterling will offer much more, but they are doing an all share offer so even if their share price goes tits up after the takeover they will still own FOG.

18 September

"Wireline logging, at a Total Depth of 2,605 metres, of the Chinguetti 4-5
appraisal/early development well has essentially confirmed the pre-drill
expectation for this well in terms of the thickness, quality and hydrocarbon
content of the reservoir. As a result, the Joint Venture plans to conduct a
production test

From todays press round-up

"Share Whisper: FUSION OIL (speculation looking for a bidder from across the Atlantic"

azhar - 19 Sep 2003 08:20 - 6 of 6

Sterling Energy gets 20.4% stake in Fusion Oil & Gas with acquisition of Westmount unit; continues to consider options on buying all of Fusions; Westmount Energy to hold 17% in Sterling Energy after selling unit.
