Apple,
An announcement of a deal would be nice, then your profits will be flying - I just worry that we're still waiting and whether it's ever going to materialise?

DROPPING LIKE A STONE!
I'm glad I got out when I did but if it goes on like this for a while, it will be worth buying again maybe 40p.

Anyone know why this is rising again (14p in 5 days to 81p). I can't find any news - anyone know anything - is there finally a deal on the way (i wish!)

Could well be pre year end "Window Dressing" by one (or more) fund managers. Noticed similar rises/falls with other particularly good or bad performers.

Piece in the Telegraph today (Questor Column) Say its readers should stay clear, unless they want a 'bumpy ride'!
No doubt about it, TRK is a high risk punt, but I think most of us, if not all, knew that?
Just why they should mention Torotrak at all baffles me, do they know more than we?
Shares lower, not higher Monday that's for sure! Waiting, or should I say weight, seems to be the problem (gearbox heavy?). Oh, and a cash call due soon?
I hold a few (recent purchase) Dohhh

A year later and we are all wiser (course we are!) - so why is it that TRK has such a thin following?
As I see it it is an all-or-nothing bet.
Once they crack "one large order" then the other car-manufacturers will be able to judge user-reaction. This is not like an AUTO box - it is much better, yet may take a little getting used to. Until it is available on a main-stream motor, we punters really have to listen to the others (here & elsewhere) - and one suspects they would be Rampers if the sp would only rise a little.
I have bought a few at 52p because I had some spare cash in an ISA and this looks like a good price - at least until we hear some damning news (which we hope won't happen).....TRK has been lower, but not recently, now the Market has gained some strength.....so in terms of overall-market I guess this about as good a price as I could wish for. There is talk of it dropping to 40p but that is pure speculation on "no-News" being delivered. Mutter from the gutter is that a News Story will break quite soon - but we've heard that before, haven't we?

i have to admit i am on the sidelines with these having sold most at around 1. ultimately it is a straight debate over which will come first - the product to market and profitability or the cash runs out - and with news having been quiet for a while who knows - ultimately if they get it right and deliver the product to market there is a huge potential upside, but the longer the clock ticks the less likely it happening
good luck to all holders

I to mopped up some spare ISA cash by adding to my TRK holding. I felt it was a choice between getting in deeper or exiting. My head says that TRK has had plenty of time to deliver some of the promised good news and now is the time to move on, but my heart (greed?) thinks that a major deal is just round the corner and I don't want to miss out after holding for such a log time. (first bought in July 2000). I know this is the wrong way to make decisions but there you go.

Other BB's are are disscussing rumours of rumours.
The 4 MM buys around 2:30 and the dramatic change in price was enough for me to add to my postion. I sold 75% of my new shares just after 4. I believe, like me, there are a large number of people waiting for some (any) good news.

This has happened before,on speculation that news is imminent. The sp could easily reach 70p like last time.
However, they have been hinting at some sort of deal(?)with a heavy machinery manufacturer if I am not wrong.
There has been silence for so long that this is bound to happen now and then...look at GWP for a comparison...lot of buying on hopes of an RSN went on for ages...SKP similar. Then, when a really meaningful announcement is made,as in the case of GWP recently, the sp pops up for a day and falls the next.Everyone got used to short
I only hope that this is'nt a false alarm. If it is ,investors will become cynical and lose interest in the long term potentiality of this company.I hope they succeed in their ambitions,it would be a wonderful shot in the arm for our beleagured engineering/automotive industry.
