Everyone is waiting with bated breath for the latest on G5 developments - any sniff of info. here will get the buyers in.

Expect a sharp rise again up to the results as the hype gets bouyant and T traders arrive.

Profits should be starting this year as most long-termers are aware, adding to the positive sentiment and eager ancipation of the results.

Apple, watch out for PRO if you're looking at investing - it's been very attractive for trading in the past. Judging by the trades it looks like T traders forcing the price up before results only to sell just before the price tumbles to 7-8p again.

Of course, if you're trading then it could be a good bet.

apple - 18 Feb 2004 21:03 - 10 of 27

I'm in profit so far so I shall be watching carefully as Monday's results are announced.

overgrowth - 18 Feb 2004 21:24 - 11 of 27

The last results were interpreted by many as a profit warning, so there should be two more to go in theory before G5 gets anywhere - get your finger ready on the "sell" button...

johnwilkinson - 18 Feb 2004 22:41 - 12 of 27

This is do or die for provalis. they been promising jam tomorrow for to long. whats a T Trader.

overgrowth - 18 Feb 2004 23:28 - 13 of 27

T traders pay their broker a bit extra to deal now and pay in e.g. 10 days time.

If you buy a largish chunk of shares 10 days before the run up to results and all goes well, you can sell just before making a profit and you haven't laid out any real cash. Of course, it can go wrong and if the price falls you need to sell quickly to avoid having to pay above the odds prices for a dud.

apple - 19 Feb 2004 12:25 - 14 of 27

Another small rise today

apple - 19 Feb 2004 17:22 - 15 of 27

Passed through previous peak.

I suppose chartists would call this a breakout.

apple - 19 Feb 2004 18:26 - 16 of 27

Is this true?

I hope it is.

I didn't find it when I looked at the website mentioned in the msg.

apple - 20 Feb 2004 11:27 - 17 of 27

There seems to be no enthusiasm for buying these on last trading day before results. This looked like a bad sign to me.

I sold.

Small profit but it was a profit.

nav1000 - 20 Feb 2004 17:39 - 18 of 27

apple if someone jumped off a cliff, would u follow!!!
there sud be some positive news on monday. this companies got good potential.. brokers recommended it, newspapers are and a lot of people r talkin about it.

apple - 20 Feb 2004 20:57 - 19 of 27

nav1000

No but I would get out of a boat & onto dry land if everybody else was.

It went down after I sold & a profit is a profit.

I'll see what happens on Monday & I might buy back in again when I see the results, IF they look good.

nav1000 - 20 Feb 2004 23:11 - 20 of 27

last year results were okay, but price still went down, its been happening a while, before results come out share prices rise but wen they r out they go down.. strange as the result aint half bad this year..

publess - 21 Feb 2004 12:00 - 21 of 27

Apple, I'm with you. I also sold yesterday at a slight profit and may jump back in if the news is good. The lack of rise before the results certainly spooked me - I was expecting more. I took the view, rightly or wrongly, that the risk/reward had shifted in the wrong direction and that there were better investment opportunities out there. There are plenty around at the moment.

nav1000, with respect, I've seen no press comment recently and only one broker - PRO's house broker - recommends it. If it were otherwise, I would have been the first to post good news!

Whatever, the results on Monday will tell and I'll watch with great interest, but from the sidelines.
