I think there was an RNS (this week?),concerning a high interest Bond Issue - you will know that when push comes to shove Bond-holders get paid first. If the business was in good shape the Bonds could not attract High-Interest.
That said just what is the money for? Could not shareholders have stumped up? I have sold my modest holdiing in AHT and just about turned a big loss into a small profit, enough to pay my broker for the service. This business has been found wanting for far too long and pies, fingers also springs to mind. Their US operation was seen as a good deal, but when has any US-deal resulted in smiles on the faces of UK-incestors? - no, I can't either.
All IMHO naturally, + + check the co announcements first.
