Newmark Security PLC is an integrated, high-value security solutions group in both physical and electronic products serving a world-wide market place.
The companies focus is on 'personal security and the safety of assets for which we deliver true security solutions in design, manufacture, installation and after-sales support and maintenance'.

Company recently acquired Custom Micro Products Limited.
CMP recorded turnover of approx 3.35 million
and pre-tax profits of 500,000 for the year ended 31 January 2004.

Recent director buying also suggests good value.

Speculative buy.

I bought into these at the beginning of the year, its probably worth posting the following just to highlight what good progress this little company is making:

Newmark Security narrows H1 pretax pre-ex pre-goodwill loss as sales rise
AFX

(Repeating to clarify pretax figure in headline and lead)

LONDON (AFX) - Newmark Security PLC reported interim pretax loss before exceptionals and goodwill narrowing to 278,000 stg from 675,000 stg the previous first half, on higher sales of 5.7 mln stg, compared with 3.7 mln.

The results for the period include Grosvenor Technology Ltd for the six months whilst the comparative figures include only a month and a half for the period since acquisition.

Loss per share in the period to Oct 31 2003 narrowed to 0.1 pence from 0.4p a year earlier.

In its Asset Protection Division, Safetell achieved 44 pct sales growth compared to the same period last year and 4 pct ahead of plan.

Order intake in the Secure Locking Division has been slower than anticipated; the group said it is close to agreeing significant purchase commitments with some new customers 'but these are unlikely to have any meaningful impact until the new financial year'.

In its Electronic Division, Grosvenor has been trading broadly in line with expectations since acquisition. The integration of Grosvenor and Newmark Technology is complete.

Newmark also said it plans to cancel the existing deferred shares and share premium account, and subsequently allow reserves to be available which will permit the possible payment of dividends in future years.

Thankyou for adding that information PTH, do you know how to add the charts in the header so they continually change on a daily basis, i will then add them to the thread. completely agree, one to keep an eye on, maybe sooner rather than later! thanks hornster

ptholden - 19 Aug 2004 09:44 - 7 of 64

Hornster

I have edited my post to include the Chart. If you want to put it into the header, you will have to do it yourself, (I can't edit your post). Call up the chart and click on the link, 'paste chart to BB' and follow the instns.

Thankyou PTH, i have now inserted the chart into the header. hornster

Shameless - 20 Aug 2004 11:54 - 9 of 64

A few million sells have gone through in the last three days and has not affected the price, in fact the price has gone up.

Fully expect this to go 2p+ leading up to the results

ptholden - 20 Aug 2004 12:36 - 10 of 64

Looks like 1.6p will be the barrier to get through initially. With the recent acquisition, the company appears to be in better shape than earlier in the year when the SP reached 2p. Hopefully a good set of results will see greater highs than previously reached.

Regards

PTH

djones68 - 20 Aug 2004 13:47 - 11 of 64

shameless

hope your not ramping, hopefully your right with 2p estimation

Been holding for a while, they have won a couple of good contracts recently and will continue to hold for at least 2 years to take advantage of the 10% cgt rule

hornster - 20 Aug 2004 15:05 - 12 of 64

shameless, like your optimism! hope you are right with your prediction. results will tell. recent sells have been from an institution releasing profit from a small holding since placing i am lead to believe.

djones68 - 20 Aug 2004 15:10 - 13 of 64

hornster

you seem to know a fair bit about the company, how do you know its an institution selling?

hornster - 20 Aug 2004 17:15 - 14 of 64

sorry to dissapoint djones but the information was passed on by a substantial holder in NWT on another board although i do trust their reliability. I personally dont have any information other than that. although i would have guessed at something along those lines due to the pattern of selling.

Shameless - 23 Aug 2004 14:56 - 15 of 64

Only a few weeks till results now, hopefully things will pick up

hornster - 03 Sep 2004 13:38 - 16 of 64

things picking up nicely, some good buys this morning, hold your breath for results, hopefull they will meet expectations.

ptholden - 03 Sep 2004 14:16 - 17 of 64

I think the 500,00 trade recorded as a sell was probably a buy, perhaps the same for the 93,000 trade. NWT has seen some small buying activity over the last weeks or so, not surprised to see a tick up today. Hopefully it will continue.

PTH

hornster - 05 Sep 2004 16:29 - 18 of 64

completely agree PTH, got a feeling we could see some positive movement this week, with results due imminently.

ptholden - 05 Sep 2004 18:47 - 19 of 64

Just been having a look at the charts for NWT. Obviously 1.6p is the key, Once the share climbs above that price, hopefully we will see a new Support Level. All the MACD indicators are Bullish, IMHO we will see a chart breakout this week.

Regards

PTH

ptholden - 06 Sep 2004 10:09 - 20 of 64

Looks like we are off, a few nice buys this morning, greater volume would confirm a Break out, but it's looking good!

PTH

ptholden - 06 Sep 2004 11:45 - 21 of 64

Got the volume, all buys, chart breakout achieved, nothing to stop the SP until 2p now.
