Immediate price target 17p (PCI)

peeyam - 17 Feb 2005 08:19

current price 13p target price in short term 17.5p and medium term 30p I suggest you guys look into this one. Thats an immediate gain of around 25%

AdieH - 17 Feb 2005 08:48 - 2 of 53

after your previous results i'm tempted, will do my own research first, what are the reasons for the rise peeyam?

peeyam - 17 Feb 2005 09:05 - 3 of 53

1) Prospect > Petroceltic International PLC said initial drilling work in
the Sidi Toui 3 well in Tunisia showed the presence of oil and gas in the
Ordovician Hamra Quartzite. -- During the coming weeks, the group will be evaluating all the data from Sidi
Toui 3 and the new seismic from Oryx to plan its future drilling campaign in the block.

2) news from 1st feb : Petroceltic International plc ('Petroceltic') is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Lerida Trading Ltd has executed an agreement to acquire a 16.25% interest in Frontier Exploration Licence 1/05 over the Blocks 13/7 and part-Blocks 13/11 (NE) and 13/12 (N) ('the Blocks') located on the Atlantic Margin approximately 60 kms in board from the recent Dooish discovery offshore North West Ireland. The agreement is subject to the approval of the Irish Government.

Once this comes through it will boost the share price to around 30

3) Immediate technicals show the share is positive. the share has doubled from 7.5p to 13 now but the past 2 weeks has seen profit taking sale of share exceeded purchase by few million, past 2 days the trend has reversed purchases have started to exceed sale of shares hence we think the share is now lining up for a second rally up to a range between 17.5p - 20p.

But as always i suggest that you do your own research cos this is totally my reading of the share and i dond wanna see anyone loose money rather like to see everyone make money :)

Good Luck

Thanks peeyam, are you just a private investor? Just curious as your last posting was very good...

snaylor - 17 Feb 2005 09:43 - 5 of 53

The buys are flooding in peeyam. Do you believe approval from the irish government will come? how likely is this to happen? thanks

rooandu - 17 Feb 2005 11:30 - 6 of 53

from another BB

Davy's daily note;

Petroceltic (PCI LN)
Previous close: 12.875p
May benefit from First Calgary review
job.langbroek@davy.ie
First Calgary, the Canadian independent oil and gas stock operating in Algeria, has announced a new discovery on its
Ledjmet Block 405b in the Burkine Basin. The well flowed prodigious quantities of condensate and gas from five zones in
total. A new productive zone was also found in this well.
First Calgary is currently undergoing a strategic review which may include a sale of part or all of its assets. The outcome of
this process is likely to have an impact on Petroceltic which is looking for gas and oil in the basin to the south of First Calgary.
The more likely a successful outcome to the First Calgary salea process that has to be enhanced with news of new zones
and large flow ratesthe more likely that Petroceltic will benefit in the backwash.
If First Calgary is removed from the market, Petroceltic is the most obvious way to invest through an independent oil and
gas company in Algerian gas potential.

AdieH - 17 Feb 2005 12:47 - 7 of 53

thanks peeyam, just got in, lets hope for 17p soon...

swseun - 17 Feb 2005 12:58 - 8 of 53

peeyam, of RTD, PCI, MSQ and QTA, I am quite new in stock market, so this may be a silly question to ask. how would you suggest to buy if I have a small amount of cash left? As I thought, seems like PCI coming up faster, should I get in this one first? any suggestion? thanks very much and welcome all other opinions.

peeyam - 21 Feb 2005 20:13 - 9 of 53

swseun - MSQ will start to move based on its results on tuesday, and from the volumes PCI looks very good as well for immediate investment also since you say you have small amount to invest, personally i would go for a lower priced share so th percentage gains will be higher.if you are prepared to stick in it PCI is a good choice else maybe MSQ but keep an eye out on their results first thing in the morning.

AdieH & snaylor -- hope it goes 17 soon too, the volumes on monday are very encouraging. as you say snaylor the buys are now flooding in, if it makes a break in the next few days I guess the move to 17 will be swift. good luck with your shares.

Adieh - "are you just a private investor?" - Yes, I am an private investor. I work in the financial industry, that helps me with research and keeping in touch with the market :)

swseun - 21 Feb 2005 23:25 - 10 of 53

haha.. just sold my "long term" holding PXC... too long, may longer than my life, and now get half in PCI today half in MSQ, hope it is not too late, thanks peeyam, can't wait for tomoro!!!! And I keep my eyes on the screen everyday and every sec... my boss would would find out sooner or later haha...

peeyam - 22 Feb 2005 07:44 - 11 of 53

good to have a second income when you are a private investor so take it lightly and try to keep hold of the job :) Btw MSQ results are excellent worth taking a look.

swseun - 22 Feb 2005 13:06 - 12 of 53

see blue! hoo.... thanks peeyam, we are in blue on both MSQ and PCI. Wish they keep doing well for the rest of the week.. month.. year...

swseun - 22 Feb 2005 13:15 - 13 of 53

no probs, maybe u can give ur views on it - wld like to know what u think

snaylor - 02 Mar 2005 21:35 - 20 of 53

I've had a quick skim and it seems you're right about the underestimation. Not sure how much of the market has seen yet, but when they do you can expect some reaction like the one today. I'm always cautious regarding notes from house broker's but this one seems incredibly positive. Will have a proper read and get back to you tomorrow. Hopefully another rise in the morning. Am I right in thinking this was released at around 11am today, and was responsible for the jump in SP? thanks

hampi_man - 03 Mar 2005 08:03 - 21 of 53

not sure what time it was released, but most probable it had the pos affect on sp
