However, this did not dampen demand for shares in some of the companies that have already been battered during the pandemic, even before news of a potential vaccine breakthrough broke in early November.

Valuation moves - Portfolio valuations continued to be hit by the impact of COVID-19, translating into NAV falls.

Corporate activity - Almost £500m was raised, including a new float for Home REIT.

Major news stories - A significant tender offer was tabled for a stake in Alternative Income REIT.
