The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Powley as a non-executive director of the Company, with effect from 18 November 2020. Ms Powley has also been appointed as a member of the
Audit and Management Engagement Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee from this date.
Ms Powley is currently a non-executive director of M&G Credit Income Investment Trust plc. She is a chartered accountant with over 30 years' experience in the investment trust industry. Prior to her retirement in March 2018, she was a director in BlackRock's closed end funds team from 2005 with responsibility for the oversight and administration of BlackRock's stable of investment trusts. From 1996 to 2005 she had a similar role at Fidelity.
There is no information concerning Ms Powley that is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) to (6) inclusive. Ms Powley currently owns 11,238 shares in the Company. The Board considers her to be independent on appointment in accordance with the AIC Code of Corporate Governance.
