(Alliance News) - Apax Global Alpha Ltd on Monday noted that Apax X Fund, in which the FTSE 250-listed investment firm is a limited partner, has acquired Cardiff-based environmental risk management and compliance services provider Alcumus.
Apax X Fund also intends to pick up a controlling stake in Gatlinburg, Tennessee-based spirits company Ole Smoky Distillery. Apax Global is expected to invest around EUR10 million in Ole Smoky, and EUR20 million in Alcumus, depending on final closing arrangements.
Both transactions are on-track to close in the first quarter of Apax's financial year.
Shares in Apax Global Alpha were down 0.4% at 209.58 pence on Monday in London.
