IN BRIEF: Pantheon International asset value rises 22% in half year

ALN

Pantheon International PLC - investment trust focused on private equity - Net asset value per share increases by 22% in the half year that ended November 30. NAV per share is 421.1 pence, up from 344.84p on May 31 and 313.92p at the end of November 2020. During the same six months, the share price rise trails at 18%, leaving a 24% share price discount to NAV, "which the board believes is unwarranted". To try to close that gap, during the recent half-year, the FTSE 250-listed investment trust conducted a 1-into-10 share sub-division. In the year to November 30, NAV rises by 34% and the share price by 38%, compared to the FTSE All Share total return of 17%. The company doesn't pay a dividend, seeking NAV and share price growth instead.

Chair Laurie Magnus says Pantheon International's "actively managed 'all weather' portfolio, strong balance sheet and proven track record through multiple cycles leave it well placed to take advantage of the compelling opportunities in its exciting deal pipeline."

Current stock price: 293.00 pence, down 3.6% on Thursday

12-month change: up 18%
