Headlam Group PLC - Birmingham-based floor coverings distributor - Confirms Chris Payne as permanent chief executive, effective immediately. Payne is chief financial officer and has been interim chief executive since October. Headlam starts the search for a new CFO and will name an interim CFO in the meantime.
Additionally, Philip Lawrence will step down as non-executive chair and leave the board at Headlam's annual general meeting in May, having served on the board for seven years, four as chair. Promotes Senior Independent Director Keith Edelman to be the new chair, while Non-Executive Director Simon King will become senior independent director. Headlam now will recruit a new independent non-executive director. Headlam will release 2021 results on Tuesday and says trading so far in 2022 has been as planned.
