IN BRIEF: British American Tobacco closes $2.30 billion notes offer

British American Tobacco PLC - London-based maker of cigarettes, tobacco and nicotine products - Announces closing of its $2.30 billion notes offering. BAT Capital Corp has closed an offering of $1.30 billion aggregate principal amount of guaranteed debt securities consisting of: $700.0 million 4.742% notes due 2032 and $600.0 million 5.650% notes due 2052. In addition, BAT International Finance PLC has closed an offering of $1.00 billion 4.448% notes due 2028. BAT intends to use the proceeds of the offering of the notes for general corporate purposes, including the potential repayment of upcoming maturities. Citigroup Global Markets Inc, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc, Mizuho Securities USA LLC and SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc have acted as joint book-running managers for the offering.
