Henry Boot doubles profit in 2021 and boosts final dividend payout

ALN

Henry Boot PLC on Wednesday posted a profit of £35.1 million in 2021, more than doubling its result of £17.1 million the year before.

Boosted by the performance of residential land sales and returns from joint ventures, revenue rose by 3.7% to £230.7 million from £222.4 million.

The Sheffield, England-based builder and property developer increased its final payout by 10% to 3.63 pence from 3.30p in 2020.

‘Strong demand within our three key markets of Industrial & Logistics, Residential and Urban Development has helped us to achieve a good set of results. By continued investment in our significant pipeline of opportunities and using our strong balance sheet, we have achieved material growth in the business and secured attractive returns for our shareholders.

‘Whilst there are pressures facing the economy and the industry, particularly inflation and supply restrictions, we continue to manage these effectively,’ Chief Executive Officer Tim Roberts commented.

Henry Boot shares were 2.0% lower at 318.50 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
