Tullow Oil poaches Enquest CFO Jonathan Swinney for same position

ALN

Tullow Oil PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Enquest PLC Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Swinney to the same role at the company.

Swinney will join the West Africa-focused oil and gas producer as its new CFO later this year.

Swinney has served as Enquest's founding CFO since 2010, where he has led a number of asset acquisitions and major capital markets transactions.

Tullow Chair Phuthuma Nhleko commented: ‘Jonathan has a proven track record in the oil & gas sector of working in complex operating environments and driving capital discipline and efficiency.

‘He has the right mix of sector and corporate finance experience that Tullow needs and I am looking forward to working with Jonathan...as we build Tullow as a leader in the African oil & gas sector.’

Tullow Oil shares were 0.2% lower at 53.12 pence each in London on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, Enquest shares were 7.9% higher at 31.51 pence each after posting bumper annual results earlier Thursday.
