IN BRIEF: Pires' investee Buymie partners with Asda for online service

Pires Investment PLC - London-based technology-focused investor - Says investee Buymie is partnering with supermarket chain Asda Ltd for a one-hour grocery delivery service in England. The service launched in Leeds and Bristol aims to give customers access to Asda's range of products on its on-demand delivery platform. It will create 60 new jobs in the two cities. ‘This partnership is evidence of the successes the business has achieved to date, having already secured partnerships with Tesco, Lidl and Co-Op,’ says Nicholas Lee, a Pires director.

Pires has a circa 20% interest in the Sure Valley Ventures portfolio, which holds Buymie as an investment.

Current stock price of Pires Investment: 5.50 pence, up 3.8% on Wednesday
