IN BRIEF: BlueRock Diamonds's March sales rise to $1,000 per carat

ALN

BlueRock Diamonds PLC - diamond producer focused on South Africa - Says the average tender price of a total parcel of diamonds sold was over $1,000 per carat, significantly up from the average price of about $600 in January and February.

‘The market is obviously being influenced by the current geopolitical situation and this is partially reflected in our latest average tender price. However, the overall supply side of rough diamonds has been tight for some time and is very likely to remain so for the foreseeable future; we therefore anticipate strong ongoing demand for the high quality Kareevlei parcel of diamonds,’ comments Executive Chair Mike Houston.

Kareevlei is a diamond mine owned and operated by the company in the Kimberley region of South Africa.
