888 Holdings PLC - Gibraltar-based online betting and gaming company - Raises £162.9 million through the placing of 70.8 million shares at a price of 230 pence per share. Says the proceeds will be used to partly fund the acquisition of the non-US business of William Hill, the London-based gambling company. The placing price represents a premium of 20% to the closing share price of 192 pence on Wednesday, 888 explains.
