Third Point Investors Ltd - multi-strategy investment - Net asset value per share rises by 24% to $32.37 on December 31 from $26.18 the same date a year before. Over the same period, Third Point Investors' share price rose by 31%, narrowing the discount to 14% from 19%. Since the start of 2022, the discount has narrowed further to 11%, though the share price is down 13%.
‘While not without volatility, 2021 was a year of resilience, with markets shrugging off political tumult, uneven recovery from Covid-19 waves, and supply chain bottlenecks to deliver strong headline returns,’ the company says. All asset classes contribute to returns, other than the short book of equity, which had a negative return of 11%. Long equity, by contrast, returned positive 32%. Top 5 positions as of December 31 were SentinelOne Inc, Pacific Gas & Electric Co, Prudential PLC, Amazon.com Inc, and Danaher Corp.
