Baillie Gifford Japan Trust PLC on Wednesday reported the death of Chair Keith Folconer.
Folconer joined the investment management company's board in 2014. He was appointed chair in 2019.
‘The thoughts of the board and the managers are with Keith's family at this difficult time,’ the company said in a statement.
On an interim basis, David Kidd, senior independent director, has agreed to chair the company.
Baillie Gifford Japan was trading 0.3% higher in London on Wednesday morning at 729.08 pence.
