IN BRIEF: Centrica shareholders in minor climate, pay rebellion at AGM

Centrica PLC - Windsor, England-based energy & services company and owner of British Gas - Notes that 20% of votes cast at Tuesday's annual general meeting were against approving its climate transition plan, with 80% of shareholders in favour. ‘Achieving Net Zero by 2045 and helping our customers achieve Net Zero by 2050 is vitally important to us and we will continue to engage with shareholders on our Climate Transition Plan so as to ensure their views are fully understood,’ it says. Outside of this, proposal to approve directors' remuneration policy sees 17% of votes cast against.
