Galliford Try wins place on £1 billion Midlands highways framework

ALN

Galliford Try Holdings PLC on Thursday said it won a place on the new Midlands Highways Alliance Plus Medium Schemes Framework 4.

The £1 billion framework will run for the next four years and is extendable by another four, the Uxbridge, England-based construction company said. Galliford Try has been a main contractor with MHA+ since 2014.

Galliford Try didn't provide an estimate of the value of the company's part in the framework.

The framework covers 35 local authorities from Oxfordshire to Cumbria and ‘encompasses the delivery of highway, civil and municipal engineering works, including highway improvements and maintenance, public realm works, drainage improvements, canal works and other infrastructure works such as waste management facilities,’ Galliford Try explained.

CEO Bill Hocking commented: ‘The MHA+ framework is a key part of the strategy for our Highways business going forward. Throughout the country we have a strong track record of delivering fruitful, collaborative partnerships with local authorities, and we look forward to working with the MHA+ and its client authorities to making a lasting impact on infrastructure around the country.’

Galliford shares were 0.7% lower at 174.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
