National World PLC on Thursday said Chief Operating Officer Vijay Vaghela plans to step down on June 30 next year.
National World is a London-based newspaper industry investor that owns JPIMedia Publishing Ltd.
The company said it has begun its search for Vaghela's successor, to ensure an orderly handover.
It added that the board expects performance for the year to be in line with expectations.
Vaghela said: ‘Having overseen the PLC's establishment and commenced its transformation, the business is now on a strong financial footing and poised for its next phase of strategic development.’
Shares in National World were down 2.5% to 18.52 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
