IN BRIEF: Atalaya Mining sees positive initial drill results in Spain

ALN

Atalaya Mining PLC - Cyprus-based copper producer - Announces positive results from the first 22 exploration drill holes completed to-date on the Campanario Trend at the 100%-owned Proyecto Masa Valverde in Spain. Initial drilling results confirm the project continued exploration potential and the possibility to quickly define a shallow mineral resource. Intersected mineralisation includes massive and semi-massive sulphides as well as stockwork-type material, the company adds.

‘We believe that these initial results will not only have a positive impact on future development scenarios and project economics, but they also highlight the significant exploration potential of the Iberian Pyrite Belt,’ says Chief Executive Alberto Lavandeira.

Current stock price: 302.08 pence, down 1.6% in London on Tuesday morning.

12-month change: marginally higher
