IN BRIEF: Airtel Africa subsidiary settles cash tender offer

Airtel Africa PLC - telecommunications and mobile money services in Africa - Confirms its subsidiary Bharti Airtel International BV settled a cash tender offer to redeem up to $450 million of the $1 billion of 5.35% guaranteed senior notes due 2024. Says a total principal amount of $450 million of notes has been accepted for purchase. Cancels all notes that were available for purchase ahead of their maturity.

Bharti launched the cash offer at the end of June. It originally planned to redeem up to $300 million, however, the cap was increased to achieve a larger debt reduction through the use of cash resources.
