IN BRIEF: Redcentric buys data centres and 4D to increase scale

Redcentric PLC - Harrogate, North Yorkshire-based IT managed services - Buys three data centres from Sungard Availability Services UK Ltd for £10.1 million. Says the centres will add new recovery-based services to its offering. Further, it acquires 4D Data Centres Ltd for £10.0 million. Says both acquisitions will increase its capability and scale. Funds the acquisitions with its recently signed £80 million revolving credit facility.

‘During the next 6 to 9 months our focus will switch to fully integrating the acquired businesses and exploiting the meaningful cross-sell opportunities that these acquisitions bring to Redcentric. We look forward to making the most of the very significant opportunities that come with these acquisitions and to an exciting future,’ Chief Executive Peter Brotherton comments.

Current stock price: 122.00 pence, up 1.5% in London on Tuesday
