Directa Plus wins distribution deal for Grafysorber products

ALN

Directa Plus PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a commercial agreement with REDA Energy Ltd to distribute its Grafysorber oil response products.

Directa Plus is a London-based graphene nanoplatelet products producer and supplier. REDA, a division of REDA Group, is a chemical manufacturer and supplier of products and services to the oil & gas sector.

The commercial agreement follows ‘successful testing’ of Grafysorber products by REDA customers in the North Sea.

Directa Plus said that its ‘patented Grafysorber technology is a graphene-based solution for treating water sludges and emulsions containing hydrocarbons.’

The first order from REDA for Grafysorber products predates the agreement and was delivered in June 2022, comprising of ‘thousands of pillows and barriers’. The company added that REDA plans to place a second similar order to build a minimum safety stock of products to cover northern Europe and will commence the distribution of Grafysorber products to REDA customers.

No financial information concerning the agreement was disclosed.

Directa Plus Founder & Chief Executive Officer Giulio Cesareo said: ‘Our environmental strategy is to offer our partners products designed to help their customers to achieve their sustainability targets more easily, more cheaply and faster.

‘The agreement with REDA represents an important milestone in the commercialisation of Grafysorber products in international oil producing regions with the North Sea being the first. REDA brings added value capabilities to this key vertical for Directa Plus, accelerating the development and growth of our products and services,’ Cesareo added.

Shares in Directa Plus were 8.2% higher at 106.00 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
