IN BRIEF: Galileo Resources shares up on Zambia copper drilling yields

Galileo Resources PLC - London-based mining company focused in the US and Africa - Reports copper assay results of preliminary drilling at Shingada copper-gold project in Zambia.

Finds up to 11.31% copper grade at 48.0 to 50.0 metres depth at hole SHDD002.

The drill intercept of a 1.53% copper grade from 21 metres depth at the same hole exceed a former drill result of a 1.07% copper grade over a true width of 28.3 metres, the firm says. ‘The company plans to continue its shallow drilling programme,’ Chief Executive Officer and Chair Colin Bird says.

Firm adds that gold assay results will be released in the future.

Current stock price: 0.90 pence, up 3.1% on Wednesday
