Vela Technologies PLC - Bradford, England-based investment company focused on early-stage technology companies - Portfolio valuation stands at £6.0 million as at June 30, up 7.1% compared to £5.6 million as at March 31.
‘The change in the value of the investment portfolio reflects investments during the quarter of £300,000 and a net increase in its fair value of £56,000,’ the company explains. It has a cash balance totalling £631,000, down 34% from £949,000 at March 31.
In June, Vela invested £300,000 in England-based medical device company TruSpine Technologies PLC. Vela subscribed for 6.0 million TruSpine shares, giving it a 5.1% stake. It does not provide the price, but the amount paid would equate to a price of 5 pence per TruSpine share.
