Law Debenture Corp PLC - investment trust with professional services business - Net asset value total return with debt at fair value for the half-year is negative 4.0%, versus FTSE Actuaries All-Share Index total return of negative 4.6%. Swings to pretax loss of £101.1 million in six months that ended June 20 from a £112.2 million profit a year before. ‘We are pleased to report that all of our business lines grew their revenues in the first half of 2022, and we have seen growth in our profit before tax of 5.9%. Yet again, the diversification and repeatable nature of many of our income streams served us well. Nonetheless, in line with many other operating businesses, we have suffered some margin compression,’ it says.
Declares 7.25 pence first interim dividend. Current intention is to maintain or increase 2022's payout versus 2021's total of 29.0p.
