Mountview Estates PLC - London-headquartered property manager - Sees shareholder rebellion at annual general meeting. Resolutions 12 and 13, to re-elect Non-Executive Director Mhairi Archibald and Non-Executive Chair Tony Powell, were not approved by majority of independent shareholders, with 75% and 79% of votes cast at AGM against the resolutions respectively. Notes it is entitled to call general meeting to again put the resolutions to shareholders. From all shareholders, the proposals see resistance of 33% and 35% respectively.
Meanwhile, the resolutions to approve the directors' remuneration report, approve remuneration policy and appoint BSG Valentine (UK) LLP as auditor all pass, but see 33% of votes cast against the proposals. Firm says it is ‘disappointed’ with this and will engage with shareholders.
