Capital hires Toll Director Peter Stokes as new Perth-based CEO

ALN

Capital Ltd on Friday said it hired Peter Stokes from Australian logistics and transport business Toll Holdings Ltd to become its chief executive officer, effective from October 3.

Mauritius-based Capital provides drilling and other mining services. It said Stokes will be based in Perth, Australia, where it has an established office. He will also join the company as an executive director.

Executive Chair Jamie Boyton said: ‘Peter's experience in running large and complex businesses across many different markets, as well as his considerable experience in the metals and mining industry, makes him ideal to take over the leadership of the business as it continues to grow rapidly across all our key pillars.’

Capital said Stokes has over 25 years of experience in the resources and logistics sectors. He has been the president of Global Logistics at Toll Group. Prior to this, Stokes was the CEO of underground mining services company Barminco Ltd.

Before Barminco, Stokes was the chief operating officer at Asia Pacific logistics group Linfox, a subsidiary of Fox Group Holdings Pty Ltd. Prior to that he was at information technology firm Accenture PLC for 11 years.

Capital shares were up 1.0% at 83.00 pence each on Friday morning in London.
