IN BRIEF: Power Metal completes Tati project drilling programme

ALN

Power Metal Resources PLC - metals exploration company focused on North America, Africa and Australia - Completes drilling programme at the Tati gold project in Botswana, in which 490 metres were drilled across nine holes for an average drill-hole depth of 55 metres.

Drilling had the objective of testing for potential along-strike and down-dip extensions of the gold-bearing quarter vein structures. Multiple holes intersected sub-parallel quartz reef structures, with sulphide mineralisation, including chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite being logged within the reef.

‘The samples have been prepared efficiently and sent to Intertek for assay testing and we look forward to receiving the results. Naturally having intersected the targeted geological structures repeatedly and at shallow depth, we are particularly enthused with progress thus far,’ says Chief Executive Officer Paul Johnson.

‘The sampling of the fines dumps has also delivered residual gold from all samples taken across the dumps. The processing potential of this waste mine material is interesting and we are looking at this further based on the results of the sampling,’ Johnson adds.
