DFS Furniture PLC - Doncaster, South Yorkshire-based sofa retailer - Kijewo Krolewskie, Poland-based Adriana SA has a 7.8% stake in DFS as of Monday, up from no previously reported position, according to a stock market filing. The stake is worth about £24 million. DFS confirms the share acquisition, saying Adriana is a ‘valued and long-standing upholstery supplier-partner’. At the same time, Martin Currie Investment Management Ltd reduces its holding in DFS to 1.8% from 7.1%.
‘DFS welcomes Adriana to the group's share register, and the recognition of the strength of DFS's business model and its prospects for growth. The group looks forward to continuing the supplier relationship, while pursuing its existing strategy to lead furniture retailing in the digital age,’ DFS says.
