IN BRIEF: Various Eateries CFO to leave for ‘other opportunities’

ALN

Various Eateries PLC - London-based chain of restaurants, clubhouses and hotels such as Coppa Club - Says Chief Financial Officer and Director Oli Williams will step down to ‘pursue other opportunities’ on November 11. Names James Darwent as an interim CFO as the firm searches for a permanent replacement.

Darwent, who has held senior finance roles in private equity-backed businesses with a particular focus on retail and hospitality, will start at the company on Monday. He will work with Williams for the remainder of Williams's time at the company ‘to ensure a smooth transition’.

Darwent's previous roles include being the finance director at global restaurant business Azumi Ltd, the head of Finance at international retail brand AllSaints Ltd, and finance director at UK restaurant company The Big Table Group Ltd.

Executive Chair Andy Bassadone says: ‘’Oli has played an important role in the development of the business over the last few years. First in helping us prepare for and make the transition to becoming a listed company, secondly in his decisive management of the challenges posed by Covid, and thirdly in putting the right systems and processes in place to enable us to scale and meet our growth ambitions for years to come.‘
