Panther Metals PLC - mineral exploration in Canada - Says diamond drilling programme at Obonga project, the first of five prospect areas, has begun. Says helicopter and first diamond drilling rig arrived at site and mobilised to start drilling at the Wishbone prospect yesterday. At Wishbone, Panther says it is targeting the base metals copper, lead and zinc as well as potential silver and gold.
Chief Executive Officer Darren Hazelwood says: "The commencement of this dual drill rig, double-shift, multiple-prospect, diamond drilling programme at Obonga reaffirms our position as an explorer focused on making new discoveries."
The Obonga drilling programme is targeting multiple high priority electromagnetic and magnetic geophysical anomalies on the Obonga Greenstone Belt, about 160 kilometres north of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
