IN BRIEF: Alumasc shares up on new contract wins in Asia

ALN

Alumasc Group PLC - Kettering, England-based supplier of building & engineering products - Says water management division Gatic wins new contracts in Asia, with an aggregate sales value of over £7.3 million. Says these contracts are for the supply of Gatic access and drainage products across a number of projects for airports and seaports in Hong Kong, India, the Philippines and Singapore.

The contracts are expected to be delivered over the next 12 to 24 months and ‘further strengthen the group’s order book visibility’, Alumasc says.

Chief Executive Officer Paul Hooper says: ‘These are excellent wins for Alumasc and demonstrate the global reputation of our Gatic products, as well as the significant ongoing opportunity for the group to supply large international infrastructure projects. In 2022, overseas exports represented 15% of total group sales and going forward, we see further opportunities to increase our market share in selected markets such as Asia.’

In September, the company had said pretax profit for the financial year ended June 30 is up 27% to £12.0 million from £9.5 million the year before, as revenue increases by 15% to £89.4 million from £77.8 million.

Current stock price: 157.00 pence, up 5.7% on Wednesday in London
