Rotork PLC Thursday said it appointed Dorothy Thompson as independent non-executive director & chair designate.
The industrial flow control equipment provider said Thompson will succeed Martin Lamb as chair, who steps down at Rotork’s annual general meeting on April 28, after nine years on the board.
From 2005 to 2017, Thompson was chief executive at Yorkshire-based power generation firm Drax Group PLC. From August 2014 to July 2022, she was a senior independent director at the Bank of England. Further, Thompson was chair of Tullow Oil PLC from 2018 to 2021.
Rotork shares were 2.1% higher at 305.40 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
