Wizz Air said it continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in December.

This includes launching new routes from Italy and Austria to Saudi Arabia, while expanding its aircraft fleets at bases in Vienna, Warsaw, Belgrade, Tirana and in Kutaisi, Georgia. It said the additional seven aircraft across all of the bases will operate on new routes and increased frequencies from 2023.

It also opened a new base in Suceava, Romania, while adding an additional aircraft to each of its bases in Iasi, Romania and Sofia.
