Card Factory PLC - Wakefield, England-based greeting cards, gifts, wrap and bags retailer - Hires Matthias Seeger as chief financial officer, expected to join on May 22. Seeger is the CFO of Ambassador Cruise Line Ltd, a British cruise line based in Essex. Prior to this role, he was CFO of Costcutter Supermarkets Group Ltd.
Chief Executive Officer Darcy Willson-Rymer says: ‘Matthias has extensive financial experience and I look forward to working with him again, confident that his expertise and values will support Card Factory’s strategic projects and significant change programme over the next few years.’
Before Seeger joins, Financial Controller Simon Comer will be named as interim CFO, but he will not be appointed as a director of the firm. Comer has held CFO roles in private equity and listed companies.
