Audioboom renews key podcast partnerships, expands creator network

ALN

Audioboom Group PLC on Friday said it renewed its key podcast partnerships alongside expanding its creator network via new commercial agreements with other podcasts.

The London-based podcast provider said it renewed key podcast partnerships with ’The Way I Heard It With Mike Rowe’, ’RELAX!’ and ’Two Hot Takes’ on multi-year deals.

Since joining Audioboom’s creator network in September 2021, The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe has been downloaded over 50 million times.

RELAX! was introduced by Audioboom in January 2021 and has had more than 40 million listens since launch, it said.

Two Hot Takes will continue to partner with Audioboom until 2025. Its host Morgan Absher has 3.3 million followers on TikTok. She hosts the show with co-hosts, discussing ‘hot takes’ - controversial opinions or perspectives.

It has been downloaded over 27 million times since launching in November 2021, the company said.

Audioboom has also agreed new partnerships with podcasts ’The Tim Dillon Show’, ’Myths and Legends’, ’The Minds of Madness’, ’The Nateland Podcast’ and ’Celebrity Memoir Book Club’, in a bid to expand its creator network.

The Tim Dillon Show will be part of Audioboom’s creator network from January 2023 and features its eponymous host and comedian chatting to guests such as Joe Rogan, Bill Burr and Lex Friedman.

Meanwhile, Celebrity Memoir Book Club was named one of Vogue’s best podcasts of 2022.

‘The most talented creators in podcasting continue to choose Audioboom as their commercial and distribution partner, highlighting how our technology and revenue platform creates unparalleled value for our podcasters,’ said Audioboom Chief Executive Officer Stuart Last.

Mike Rowe, host of The Way I Heard It, said: ‘Since partnering with Audioboom, my podcast has done nothing but grow. It’s so nice in this crazy business to partner with people who do exactly what they say they’re going to do.’

Shares in Audioboom were up 4.6% to 429.00 pence each in London on Friday morning.
