GreenRoc Mining purification tests meet requirement to produce anodes

ALN

GreenRoc Mining PLC on Friday announced that Amitsoq purification tests in Greenland achieved almost 100% purity, surpassing a requirement to manufacture anodes for electric vehicle batteries.

The London-based miner focused on mineral projects in Greenland said its technical consultants on spheronised graphite, ProGraphite GmbH, conducted the purification test work via alkaline purification.

This ‘exceeds the purity required to produce spheronised graphite used in the manufacturing of anodes for electric vehicle batteries,’ GreenRoc explained. It reached purity of 99.97%, above the required 99.95%.

Alba Mineral Resources PLC on Friday, which holds a 51% stake in GreenRoc, noted the announcement.

Greenroc Mining shares were flat at 5.35 pence each, while Alba Mineral Resources shares were 3.0% lower at 0.12p each in London on Friday morning.
