IQGeo expands NESIC partnership with £1.9 million deal for software

ALN

IQGeo Group PLC on Wednesday celebrated after signing a contract with NESIC in Japan to deliver a utility disaster assessment solution for Japanese public authorities.

IQGeo is a Cambridge, England-based geospatial productivity and collaboration software company focused on the telecoms and utility industries.

The £1.9 million deal over 5 years includes IQGeo’s software platform and mobile capabilities, consisting of a £1.0 million licence, as well as associated support and maintenance.

IQGeo told investors that the deal builds on its long-standing integration partnership with NESIC, which has provided disaster assessment and emergency response solutions to some of Japan’s largest electric utility operators.

Under this latest agreement, NESIC will use IQGeo software to create a disaster assessment and digital service provisioning platform for government authorities and public interest organisations.

The new solution integrates a wide range of data streams and weather analytics into a single IQGeo geospatial dashboard for office based and mobile field crews. The solution enables public service authorities to effectively monitor and manage their disaster response activities during Japan’s frequently severe typhoon, earthquake and tsunami incidents, IQGeo said.

‘We’re pleased to be working with our partner NESIC on this essential service for the Japanese market. IQGeo is leveraging our dominant position in utility industry emergency response market to create a significant new SaaS channel aimed at Japan’s public service authorities,’ said Chief Executive Officer Richard Petti.

IQGeo shares were trading 0.5% lower at 212.00 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
