IN BRIEF: Empire Metals has enough cash for drilling at copper project

Empire Metals Ltd - London-based minerals explorer and developer - Says that current cash position is around £1.3 million and that cash reserves are sufficient for the initial soil sampling and planned maiden drill programme at the Pitfield copper project in Western Australia.

Earlier in February, Empire said the results of surveys carried out at the Pitfield copper project were encouraging. It said surveys ‘identified multiple drilling targets’ at the copper asset. Completion of initial soil sampling and surveying is expected in the first quarter of this year.

Current stock price: 1.80 pence, down 2.7% around midday Wednesday in London

12-month change: up 53%
