Anglesey Mining shares rise on Parys mountain resource estimate

ALN

Anglesey Mining PLC on Monday reported an overall mineral resource estimate for its Parys mountain copper-zinc-lead-silver-gold project project on the isle of Anglesey in north Wales.

The mining company with operations in north Wales, Sweden and Canada estimated 0.2 grammes of gold per tonne, 15 grammes of silver per tonne, 1.3% zinc, 1.0% copper and 0.7% lead.

Further, it updated its estimates for the White Rock and Engine zones on the mountain, which it now refers to as Morfa Du. It estimates about 0.3 grammes of gold per tonne, 28 grammes of silver per tonne, 2.3% zinc, 0.4% copper and 1.2% lead.

Chief Executive Officer Jo Battershill said: ‘The grade-tonnage curve gives us a high-level of confidence that a robust economic development is achievable at Parys Mountain, especially given metallurgical testwork has demonstrated the ore could be successfully up-graded through pre-concentration methods that reject up to 40% of the mined volumes.’

Anglesey Mining shares rose 4.7% to 2.25 pence each on Monday at midday in London.
